Meet Lizzy

I’m Lizzy Swick, M.S., RDN – a registered dietitian and the founder of Lizzy Swick Nutrition. My work bridges evidence-based nutrition with compassion and real-world experience to help women feel at home in their bodies through every phase of life: from optimizing fertility and postpartum recovery to supporting metabolism, hormone health, and weight management in the pre- and perimenopausal years.

My Story

I was told I might not get pregnant.

Something about PCOS and sub-fertility…

Back then, I was deep in wellness culture – following cleanses, chasing labs, taking handfuls of supplements, and believing the next protocol would fix it all.

It didn’t.

It wasn’t until I let go of the noise and came back to the basics, what I now call the boulders of health, that my body finally had space to heal. No more detox kits. Just real food, nutrition that steadied blood sugar, movement I enjoyed, and consistency.

A few months later, I was pregnant with Madelyn.

Madelyn reminded me that the body wants to function — that health doesn’t come from micromanaging every input, but from trusting the body’s design and supporting it with the right foundations.

Then came Charlotte.

She was born in critical condition and later diagnosed with congenital muscular dystrophy. Her arrival turned everything I thought I knew about health on its head. Watching her grow has taught me how to mother myself in hard moments, how to sit with uncertainty, and how to keep showing up with love even when the path doesn’t look how I imagined.

That experience changed me — as a parent, a practitioner, and a person.

Not every day is perfect, and I’m no longer chasing some version of health that depends on it. As I move through perimenopause, I’ve learned that progress is possible even when energy, sleep, or life feel unpredictable. Wholeness doesn’t require perfection, just presence and consistency.

That’s what I bring into this work.

Not “happily ever after” – because that’s just diet culture in disguise. Instead, we work on your happy for now.

We build habits that support intentional weight loss, thyroid health, blood sugar balance, hormones, metabolic health and emotional regulation –  not through extremes, but through consistent, compassionate choices rooted in science.

Because the process is your life and you deserve to feel good while you’re living it!.

Professional Background

After earning my M.S. in Nutrition Sciences from Bastyr University, I completed an internship at The UltraWellness Center and later joined Dr. Mark Hyman’s digital team, where I helped translate nutrition and lifestyle science for a wider audience. That experience exposed me to the evolving worlds of functional and nutritional medicine and became an early part of my professional growth.

Over time, that exposure shaped my own evolution — toward a scientific, evidence-based approach that connects medical insight with the real-world needs of women. That evolution continues to guide my work today: grounded in science, guided by integrity, and centered on women’s health.

The Birth of Lizzy Swick Nutrition

In 2009, shortly after the birth of her youngest daughter, Lizzy Swick Nutrition was born.

As someone who suffered with the effects of postpartum stress, I wanted to devote my time to helping women in the preconception through the postpartum phase of life.

Starting her business provided her with much-needed flexibility to take care of her family and work in an area she’s passionate about. She also continued ghostwriting for other public figures.
